Rock Hall Class of 2019 Nominees Announced

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced their 15 nominees for induction to the Class of 2019.

In order to be eligible for entry, the nominees first album must have been released in 1993 or earlier.

The 1st time nominees include: Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks, and Todd Rundgren.

Back for a 2nd time are Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, The Cure

Janet Jackson and Rufus featring Chaka Khan received their 3rd nominations.

MC5 and The Zombies nominated for the 4th time.

Kraftwerk, and LL Cool J are hoping 5th times the charm.

Fans will have a chance to influence the voting by casting a daily "fan ballot" which will be tallied along with the rest of the rock hall's votes.  The fan vote though won't count for much though, only one collective ballot among over 900 submissions from from living Rock Hall inductees, and other music experts in the industry and media.

The inductees will be announced in December and then officially inducted March 29th, 2019 at a ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
