New Proposal For Rochester Performing Arts Center

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren is expected to give details on Tuesday about a new proposal for a downtown performing arts center. The City of Rochester is looking to move the performing arts center from Parcel 5 to the current site of the Radisson Hotel on Main Street. The plan would involve tearing down the hotel along the Genesee River. Radisson owner and developer Dave Christa tells News10NBC it would connect to the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, and aligns with the city's 'Roc the Riverway' revitalization plans. Billionaire Tom Golisano has pledged $25 million toward a downtown performing arts center. It's not clear what will happen to Parcel 5.
