We've got a real winner in Jose Pena!
Gates Police arrested the 35-year-old on Thursday after they say Pena broke into a room at the Motel 6, took pictures of a dead woman inside the room, stole her dog and left.
Police say Pena never told anyone a woman was dead in the room and maids eventually founder her body three days later on October 23.
Police say the 30-year-old woman died from an apparent drug overdose.
Pena is charged with burglary, petit larceny and tampering with evidence.
The dog, Shamus the Pitbull, has been returned to the deceased woman's family.
