Man Arrested At Affinity Orchard Place After Firing Shots At 2:30 AM

This is the official press release from Greece Police regarding the arrest of 22-year old Christopher Rivers Jr, who reportedly fired shots at around 2:30 AM at the Affinity Orchard Place Apartments.

GREECE POLICE PRESS RELEASE:

 

The Greece Police Department announces the arrest of 22 year old, Christopher Rivers Jr. The arrest is the result of a police investigation into reports of multiple gun shots being fired from an apartment window in the 1200 block of Affinity Lane around 2:30am this morning. After refusing to surrender to police for a couple of hours, Rivers was taken into custody at his home without incident. The arrest occurred shortly after 7am this morning.

 

Rivers is charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st degree (D – Felony), Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A – Misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree (A – Misdemeanor). The EWOC charge above is being charged due to a small child being present in the apartment at the time Rivers was discharging the firearm.

 

Rivers is being held at police HQ until arraignment which should occur this evening at the Greece Justice Court.
