The Monroe County Health Department says one person has died this season from the flu. Officials say the person who died was between the ages of 50-64. There have been 881 recorded cases of the flu this season and 132 people hospitalized. This time last year, nine people had died as a result of the flu and there were more than 3,000 recorded cases of the flu.
