A Springwater man is accused of beating another man with a baseball bat in front of three children. David Olyer Jr., 35, was arrested Friday. Livingston County Sheriff's deputies were called around 7:05 p.m. to a home on Morris Road for the report of an assault. Investigators say Olyer hit a 29-year-old man in the head with a baseball bat. Deputies say Olyer had arrived home and found the man in the house with his girlfriend.During the attack, there were three children who were present - all of whom were between the ages of 2 and 9.The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital to be treated and is expected to survive. Olyer was charged with felony second-degree assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He is being held in the Livingston County Jail.
