Deputies: Ontario Couple Busted For Using Heroin With Baby In Car

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested 22-year-old Riley Rust & 25-year-old Sarah Riedl after they say the couple was shooting up heroin in their car, in the Ontario McDonald’s, with their 3-month-old daughter in the back seat.

Deputies say they were originally called out to the Town of Huron on Saturday for a report that a woman went to a house near Brick Schoolhouse Road near Route 104 asking for hot water for her baby but no car or baby were seen by the person who called 911.

Deputies found a car in the driveway of a nearby abandoned house and inside were drug residue paraphernalia.

Further investigation by deputies revealed that Rust & Riedl were both seen using heroin with the 3-month-old in the back seat while they were parking in the McDonald’s parking lot.

The baby is now with a family member.

Rust and Riedl are both facing endangering the welfare of a child charges, and Rust is also facing a criminal possession of a controlled substance charge.
