Preparation Underway For Potential Lake Ontario Flooding

New York officials are preparing for potential flooding along Lake Ontario. More than 200,000 sandbags are being filled at sites across the state, including in Cayuga, Monroe, Orleans, and Wayne counties. Many properties were damaged along Lake Ontario during flooding in 2017. Officials say water levels on Lake Ontario are 15 inches above the average for this time of the year. The sandbags are being filled by individuals incarcerated by the state.
