Police say a driver on his cell phone nearly collided with a police patrol car in Greece Wednesday morning. It happened on Stone Road in Greece around 12:30 a.m. Investigators say the driver crossed into oncoming traffic. The officer had to swerve to avoid a collision and ended up hitting a curb. The driver crashed into a pole. He was issued several tickets, including a violation for distracted driving.
