An 8-year-old child and her 21-year-old mother were shot outside her home in Rochester Monday night. According to police, they were taken to Strong Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the the victims are related to the intended target. It happened on Ripley Street, which runs between Goodman Street and Webster Avenue.
