Man and Woman in Greece Charged With Animal Cruelty After Puppy Abandoned

Two people from Greece are facing animal abuse charges after the death of a six-month-old puppy. Ashley Bullard, 31, and Leo Bullard, 31, have been charged with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals; failure to provide proper sustenance. Ms. Bullard has also been charged with abandonment of a companion animal. According to officials at Lollypop Farm Humane Society, a six-month-old Yorkshire terrier mix was located in a locked crate behind a dumpster at a Charlotte apartment complex on July 31.The puppy had to be put down due to injuries it had sustained. Investigators reportedly found signs of previous abuse. An employee at the apartment complex posted the story on Facebook. It was shared more than 10,000 times leading to the arrest of the Bullards. They are due in court in September. If convicted, they could face up to a year behind bars.
