Why is baseball dying? HOME RUNS!
This is hardly a hot take, but I feel effected by it more than most. See, one of my jobs here is to pull audio clips from sports highlights every morning. It seems as though, whether its the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, or whatever team I'm pulling clips from, that every MLB game anymore comes down to who hits more home runs.
Case in point, did you know that last night, with about 3 weeks left in the season, Jonathan Villar (Orioles) hit the league's 6,106th homer of the year? Breaking the previous record.. again, with WEEKS left to go!
