Newark Man Arrested For DWI At 4-Times The Legal Limit--Twice In 2 Days

Meet Edward Timblin. The 56-year-old from Newark is in a bit of trouble after he was arrested twice by Newark Police in two days for alleged drunk driving, according to the Times of Wayne County.

FIRST ARREST- On Tuesday 9/10 around 1 a.m Newark Village Police responded to the Wegman's parking lot for the report of a disturbance. Inside the store they found Edward who admitted that he drove the truck to the store. Police say he had a blood alcohol content of .32% (four times the legal limit) and was arrested for:

  • DWI
  • Aggravated DWI
  • 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (because his license was already suspended on 8/30/19 for an alcohol related offense)
  • 2nd Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle

SECOND ARREST- On Wednesday 9/11 at 11:45 p.m. Village Police were called out for the report of a man in a blue pick-up truck doing donuts in the road. Police pulled over the truck for an improper turn signal when he tried to turn into his driveway. He was found to have a BAC this time of .34% and arrested for:

  • Aggravated DWI
  • 1st Degree Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (because his license was already suspended on 8/30/19 for an alcohol related offense)
  • 2nd Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle
