Popeyes’ chicken sandwich, the viral fast food item that quickly ran through its entire supply in August, returned to select restaurant locations on Sunday witha lot of fanfare, hours-long waits and “apocalyptic” drive-thru lines.
However, the relaunch of the fried chicken sandwich was not without incident as multiple videos posted to social media show angry customers and even fights between customers and staff members.
The Popeyes chicken sandwich is back and people are losing their minds. There have been fights between employees and customers. Two men in Maryland got into a fight over the sandwich and one of them was stabbed to death.
