Monroe County Confirms First Case Of Coronavirus

Monroe County has its first confirmed case of COVID-19 in a person who traveled to a high-risk area. County Executive Adam Bello says the person is under mandatory quarantine at home and is recovering. Sources say it is not the result of local transmission. The victim is a man who traveled to Italy. Bello and Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza say the risk of infection remains low in Monroe County. They plan to say more at a 9 a.m. news conference.
