Unless a coronavirus vaccine becomes available soon, U.S. residents may have to continue practicing social distancing for two more years. That's according to a study published Tuesday by the Harvard School of Public Health, which combined COVID-19 data with information about similar viruses to project the future of the coronavirus pandemic. The results indicate the virus won't go away unless social distancing measures are practiced well into 2022. The study also found that the while the coronavirus might disappear during summer months, the U.S. is likely to experience "wintertime outbreaks" after the current wave disappears.
