RECALL ALERT: Wipes Being Recalled Due to Possible Contamination

If the recent toilet paper shortage converted you to a wet wipe user, you might want to check the package before using them again. Kimberly-Clark is recalling two of its flushable wipes products over concerns of a bacteria contamination. "The affected product could show the presence of a bacterium which naturally occurs in the environment and in the human body," reads a statement released by the company on Wednesday. "Pluralibacter gergoviae rarely causes serious infections in healthy individuals. However, individuals with weakened immune systems are at a heightened risk of infection." The products being recalled are Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes that were manufactured between February 7th and September 14th, a company spokesperson says. They were sold throughout the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, according to the company. To see if your wipes are infected, visit Cottonelle.com
