Wheatland-Chili Alerts Families After Suspicious Incident at Student's Home

Officials with the Wheatland-Chili Central School District are warning families about a suspicious incident at a student’s home. District officials say a man arrived at the student’s home around 3 p.m. on Tuesday and claimed to be a staff member. The man reportedly asked to take the student on a field trip. Investigators say the man was told to leave and they called police. Officials say the district says it will never send a representative to a student’s home in an attempt to remove them. The man is described as Caucasian, in his early 40s, about 5’7” and 200 pounds. He was balding and wore brown-rimmed glasses, a jean jacket, gray dress pants and black dress boots. He reportedly identified himself as James Marlborough and was said to be driving a dark gray Honda Civic.The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
