In-Person Classes Canceled at City School After COVID Death, Positive Cases

Students at a school in Rochester will be learning remotely for the rest of the week after positive COVID cases and one death. The principal of Adlai E. Stevenson School No. 29 on Kirkland Road says the building will be closed for a thorough deep-cleaning and for health officials to finish contact tracing. The school district has confirmed a custodial staff member died this week. Eight positive cases have been reported in staff members over the past month. The school said it was informed of three cases on Tuesday, and that those three people were last at the school on Feb. 12.
