Man who Broke into Pelosi's Office Screams at Judge

The Capitol rioter who went viral after he broke into House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office lost his cool in court on Thursday, telling a judge his continued detainment is "not fair." Richard Barnett, who was pictured leaning back in Pelosi's chair with his feet on her desk, reportedly exploded after Judge Christopher R. Cooper ordered that he remain detained until his next court hearing in May. "Everybody else who did things much worse are already home!" Barnett barked at the judge. "I’ve been here for a month, they’re going to set it for another month, and everybody else is getting out!” However, attorney Joseph D. McBride -- who's representing Barnett -- denies his client was yelling at the judge. Instead, McBride says, Barnett was merely voicing his displeasure. "Mr. Barnett’s frustration stems from the fact that he is incarcerated pre-trial, despite lacking any criminal history, being gainfully employed, respected in his community, and in a stable relationship for over 20 years,” McBride says. "Normally, facts like these are more than enough for an individual to fight their case from the outside.”
