Covid Supplemental Food Stamp Benefits to End This Month

The Foodlink organization is calling attention to the end this month of supplemental food stamp benefits that began in 2020 to support households during the pandemic.

The so-called Emergency Allotments of SNAP benefits will end at the end of the month.

Foodlink CEO Mitch Gruber says there are ways to offset the loss. One is to shop at the place that will match the benefits such as the Public Market.

SNAP recipients will get only their normal single benefit allocation each month. That could mean a monthly reduction of more than $100
