Rochester City School District's New Strategy to Fill Teacher Vacancies

The Rochester City School District has a strategy to fill the growing number of teacher vacancies.

District officials outlined the plans at last night's school board meeting.

The district is expanding its Urban Teaching Fellows Program to add New York University to the existing partnerships with Nazareth College and the University of Rochester.

The district also hired three new recruiters and is helping its para-professionals become teachers.
