238,000 Cars Recalled

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple vehicle recalls this week. The issues include possible engine stalls, brakes being damaged, tears in tires and trucks needing to be parked outside due to potential fire risks. Chrysler is recalling 131,700 of its 2021 Ram 1500 vehicles equipped with 5.7L eTorque engines. Nissan is recalling 4,249 of its Titan and Frontier vehicles because the tires may have a tear in the inner bead. The tear can cause a rapid loss of tire pressure while driving, leading to a loss of control and increased risk of crash. Mazda is recalling  2,410 of its CX-30 and CX-50 models because the anti-lock brake system's hydraulic- control unit may be damaged. The damaged system can result in reduced braking ability and increase the distance needed for the vehicle to stop. BMW is recalling 1,465 of its 2023 X1 xDrive28i and X1 M35i vehicles because seat belts in second-row seats may have been pinched by an interior trim panel during vehicle assembly, which could cause them to not work properly.
