Connecticut Woman Charged With 48 Counts Of Animal Cruelty

A month after police seized dozens of neglected cats and dogs from her home, a 59-year-old Connecticut woman has been taken into custody. Fairfield resident Glorianne Marie Lagnese is facing 48 counts of animal cruelty in connection with the discovery, which involved 26 dogs and 22 cats. Police found the home after they discovered a malnourished dog wandering the streets, covered in urine and feces, according to the Fairfield Police Department. Officers say the home Lagnese was sharing with the animals was “uninhabitable.” Lagnese has been released on a $5,000 bond. She’s due to appear in court on May 18th.
