Man Finds Severed Rat's Foot In Soup At Olive Garden

A Michigan man has filed a $75,000 lawsuit against Olive Garden after he allegedly found a severed rat’s foot in his soup. Madison Heights resident Thomas Howie says he was eating minestrone soup at an Olive Garden in Warren when he felt a sharp pain in his mouth. He spit out what he had in his mouth and found the source of his pain: a furry, clawed rat’s foot, according to his lawsuit. “It was so gross and disgusting I couldn’t control myself,” Howie says. “My stomach just heaved. I threw up right in the restaurant. I was mortified. Until this happened, this was my favorite restaurant. I still can’t believe it.” When Howie complained, one employee told him, “That’s funny, we don’t put meat in minestrone,” according to the lawsuit. A statement released by Olive Garden reads, “We have no reason to believe there is any validity to this claim.”
