Over the weekend, drummer Greg Barton played along to every Foo Fighters song in chronological order without stopping (!!!) to raise money for the Cancer Research Institute — and he succeeded! It took him nine hours to play all 128 tracks, and he went well over his fundraising goal of $5,000 (at time of writing the amount raised was more than $7800).

"Couldn’t be happier with how it turned out... So grateful for the incredible people I got to work with to make this a reality," Barton wrote on Instagram. "Not only did we smash our fundraising goal, but I made it the distance and had an absolute blast along the way."

"Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this one of the best days ever," he added. "This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. You can see my left hand completely cramp up at song 57 and I truly thought I might DNF [did not finish]… I think pure adrenaline carried me through the last three albums. Let me know what songs you enjoyed most, and I hope this brightens your day."

The ambitious performance was dedicated to Foo Fighters' late drummer Taylor Hawkins and Barton's grandma, who's currently battling cancer. Check out the full livestream below.
