Judge Overturns Player Kicked Out of Section V Basketball Game

A ruling by a local town judge could allow players ejected from games or suspended by schools to play in the following games, even during sectional and state playoffs. 

On Saturday, Feb. 24, a Red Creek freshman player received two intentional foul calls from the officials. By Section V rule she would not be allowed to play in the semi-final game for the Red Creek Rams against Notre Dame Wednesday night at Bloomfield. However, hours before tipoff Wednesday night, Notre Dame Principal Wade Bianco and Athletic Director of Assistant Principal Mike Rapone were told a judge granted Red Creek an injunction to allow the girl to play.
