Mathew Morrison says he's heartbroken over a video that surfaced from the set of his new film, “Crazy Alien,” which appears to show a German Shepherd being abused. PETA released the 49-second video that shows “a dog locked in a cage, flung into the air, spun around, and then dropping into a frigid river” while on location in China. Morrison has taken to Twitter to speak out.
“I’ve just been made aware and seen a video from the set of a film I worked on in China,” Morrison offers. “My heart is broken to see any animal treated this way. Had I been on set or known about this, I would have made all efforts to stop this. I’ve called producers to express my outrage.”
TMZ has it that the dog was “shaken up after the stunt, but did not appear injured.” It’s being reported that the scene was shot more than once, but Morrison was not on set at the time of filming.
