A Canandaigua man has died in a car crash that happened in Ontario County Wednesday night. According to the Ontario County Sheriff's Office, a car was heading south from Route 64 North and failed to come to a stop at State Route 5 and 20. The car went through the intersection and hit an embankment. The driver, Peter J. Maruffi Jr., 66, died at the hospital from his injuries. Peter L. Maruffi, 31, was injured in the accident. An investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
