Heat Causing Shoes To Shrink

Besides causing fires, floods, and storms, climate change is apparently also shrinking peoples' shoes, as one Kentucky woman just learned. Twitter user Autumn_Kamrie posted a photo to the site of her Nike slip-ons, which were originally a size nine, but after an afternoon inside her car, could only fit a child. On the day she shared the pic, the UK Mirror says the temperature in Louisville reached 88 degrees, so the mercury would have been even higher inside the vehicle. The British site also tracked down others whose footwear had suffered the same fate recently.
