The puppy that was inside a car when it was stolen in Rochester is back home. Owner Eric Berg had offered a $2000 reward for the return of his dog Benny. Berg ran into a restaurant to pick up food on Saturday when his car was stolen. He left the car running and his dog inside. Berg says he got a call on Tuesday from a man who said the dog was listed for sale for $500. Then, the man’s wife realized Benny was a missing dog, so they went ahead and purchased him with the intent to return him to Berg. Berg says they met up in a McDonald's parking lot to make the exchange. The car is still missing.
