Gates police busted a woman at a spa for prostitution. Police arrested Ming Shan Lu, 50, after she allegedly gave a person a massage and sexual services for a fee at the Lilac Spa on Lyell Avenue. Investigators arrested three people back in November at the same spa for similar charges. Lilac Spa was temporarily shut down, but after agreeing to some conditions the business was allowed to re-open. Lu was charged with prostitution and felony practicing a profession without a license. She posted bail and will be back in court at a later date.
