People are remembering a beloved New York City doorman who died in a freak accident. Miguel Gonzales was sweeping snow off the steps of his East 93rd Street building around 9:30 yesterday morning when he fell head first into a glass window next to the front door, slashed an artery and died. He was 59-years-old, two years from retirement and a week from his 37th wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day. He's remembered as a kind and generous person who worked at the same building for 30 years as security guard, porter and then doorman. He was saving money to retire in Puerto Rico.
