There will be some traffic delays starting today on east and westbound I-90 between exits 43 and 46. According to the New York State Thruway Authority, there will be coordinated 15 minute slowdowns while the National Grid does maintenance.The National Grid will be replacing overhead utility lines between exit 43 (Manchester, Palmyra) and exit 44 (Canandaigua, Victor).
Here is a breakdown of the slowdowns:
- Monday, March 6 - One slowdown starting at 12:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, March 8 - Three slowdowns starting at 10:00 a.m.
- Saturday, March 11 - Four slowdowns beginning at 6:30 a.m.
- Sunday, March 12 - Four slowdowns starting at 6:30 a.m.
Eastbound traffic delays will start at the rest area between exit 46 (Rochester, Corning) and exit 45 (Rochester, Victor).The westbound slowdowns begin at mile marker 340.51 at the Manchester, Palmyra exit.Digital message boards will be updated to alert people ahead of each slowdown.
