Police: Waterloo Teacher Arrested For 'Odd Remark' to Student

New York State Police have arrested a Waterloo High School technology teacher.  Police said David Rautenberg, 44,  made what are described as "odd remarks" to a female student.  According to investigators, Rautenberg had an inappropriate conversation with a girl at the school. Rautenberg has been employed by the Waterloo Central District for 14 years, but was put on leave following the allegation. He was booked on endangering the welfare of a child and was released on an appearance ticket.
