Investigators believe the man suspected of broadcasting a Facebook video of himself shooting a stranger on Easter Sunday has turned off his cell phone. Steve Stephens cell phone last pinged in Erie, Pennsylvania. The 37-year-old is accused of fatally shooting 74-year-old Robert Godwin Sr. in Cleveland. Police said Stephens broadcast the shooting on Facebook. Stephens faced numerous evictions in Ohio and bankruptcy prior to allegedly filming the murder. Stephens approached Godwin and asked him to repeat the name of Stephens' girlfriend before pulling the trigger. The girlfriend is cooperating with investigators and has been taken into protective custody. State and federal partners are actively working with Cleveland police officers to search for Stephens. Anyone who sees Stephens is urged to dial 911 and to not approach him.
