Jason Botterill has been named General Manager of the Buffalo Sabres. Botterill, 40, has served as an associate general manager with the Penguins since 2014 and has owned a front-office role with the Penguins since 2007. Botterill is the eighth general manager in franchise history. Botterill played in the Sabres’ organization from 2002 to 2005. He retired after suffering a concussion with Rochester early in the 2004-05 season. The Sabres remain without a head coach.
