The Rochester man accused of releasing his dog to attack a woman during a domestic dispute in November pleaded guilty in court Tuesday. According to 13WHAM, The Monroe County District Attorney's office said James Cruz pleaded guilty to 2nd-degree assault. Police said Cruz released the dog from its cage when the victim tried to run. The dog attacked the woman, leaving her severely injured, according to officers. The dog was shot by police, and Cruz was hit by a projectile fired from an officer’s gun.
