It is National Doughnut Day! To celebrate, local shops are giving away some free donuts.
Dunkin' Donuts: They are offering free donuts with any drink purchase. The free donuts available include: Vanilla Cake Batter, Glazed, Strawberry Frosted with Rainbow Sprinkles, Chocolate Frosted with Rainbow Sprinkles, Vanilla Frosted with Rainbow Sprinkles, Glazed Chocolate Cake, Boston Kreme, Jelly and Old Fashioned.
Ridge Donut Cafe: they will be giving away a free fry cake for any purchase made on Friday.
Donuts Delite: They will be giving away free Cannoli Delites to all customers (while supplies last). The Salvation Army along Mayor Lovely Warren and County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo will also be on hand to celebrate the holiday.
(Fun fact: The Salvation Army actually started National Doughnut Day. The organization created it to serve up doughnuts to soldiers on the front lines during World War I. This year marks 100 years since it started.)
