A Rochester man and two women are accused of breaking into cars at funeral homes. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Bruce Newton, Cearra Campbell and Chelsea O’Hare were arrested and jailed on eight counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and three counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. Investigators say the trio read obituaries to find out when funeral homes would be packed cars. They are accused of stealing money and credit cards. Greece Police, Webster Police and the Sheriff's Departments in Monroe, Livingston and Ontario counties conducted a joint investigation. Investigators called the gang “despicable.”
