A lobbyist and political consultant who has been associated with Mayor Lovely Warren has sworn in an affidavit that Warren ignored advice of an attorney about the use of her political action committee. In the sworn statement, Robert Scott Gaddy says Mayor Warren disregarded Attorney Robert Shaddock's advice and "proceeded to operate the PAC in an illegal fashion during 2015." Mayor Warren's opponents in her primary campaign accused her of using PAC money to pay for campaign expenses, which violates state election law. Warren said the money was mistakenly deposited in the wrong account by someone on her staff.
