Monroe County Paying For Narcan Kits at Local Restaurants

Monroe County is responding to the deadly opioid crisis, and  vowing to do something about it.Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo has announced the creation of the County's Opioid Action Plan.She says its a wide-ranging approach to the crisis, that will address everything from prevention and treatment, to recovery. Dinolfo says one of the prongs of the plan is the official filling of a lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies who make & market opioids. Another part of the plan is to work with law enforcement & EMS to streamline and centralize overdose data in order to better track the crisis and decide how to respond, and expanding Narcan training and distribution.
