Iowa Player Missed Free Throw to Honor Late Student

Iowa guard Jordan Bohannon had an opportunity to break the program's all-time record for most consecutive free throws made in the Hawkeyes' game on Sunday against Northwestern. However, the sophomore guard intentionally missed to honor the record holder, Chris Street.  Street was killed in a car accident on Jan. 19, 1993 -- three days after he played his final game where he made both free throw attempts. Bohannon tied Street's record with 34 but on attempt 35, he purposely left it short.
