The defense attorney for the former Webster coach and special education teacher accused of raping a girl says his client has an alibi. Kali Watkins is accused of raping a student before a home basketball game. The alleged victim said their victim gave prosecutors four possible dates of the alleged assault in January 2017. She said Watkins raped her around 3 p.m. or 4 p.m. before a home basketball game, but couldn't say for sure which game it was. However, Watkins' defense attorney says on the first possible date, he took his dog to the vet thinking it would have to be euthanized. On two other dates the crime may have been committed, Watkins says he picked up his kids from school where he had to sign in first. Watkins' attorney says there is also evidence that he could not have committed the crime on the fourth possible date. Watkins worked for the Webster Central School District from August 2015 to December 2017.
