The start date for winter sports in New York State deemed to be 'high risk' has been pushed back. The new start date is January 4, 2021 start date.This comes as the number of COVID-19 cases continue to increase throughout New York state.Those high risk sports include basketball, hockey, wrestling and competitive cheerleading. Low and moderate risk sports - which are listed as bowling, indoor track & field, gymnastics, swimming & diving, and skiing, are still on schedule to begin November 30.
