The Monroe County Department of Public Health reported a record number of COVID-19 cases Saturday. Officials say 515 positive coronavirus tests were confirmed since Friday. There are now over 2,500 active cases in Monroe County. According to the county dashboard 8 percent of people tested positive. That is the highest total since May 1 when 10.8 percent of people testing positive. Health officials say 341 people in the Finger Lakes region are hospitalized with the virus, 62 people in the ICU. A total of 317 people have died from COVID-19 in Monroe County.
