Third Woman Accuses Cuomo of Making Unwanted Advances

A third woman has come forward with harassment allegations against Governor Andrew Cuomo. In a report by The New York Times, the woman is not a member of the Cuomo Administration. Anna Ruch claims says she met the governor at a friend's wedding in September of 2019. She tells the Times he placed his hand on her bare back, then called her "aggressive" when she physically removed his hand from her person. Ruch says Cuomo put his hands on her cheeks and asked to kiss her. She turned away and the governor kissed her cheek. In a statement released on Sunday night, Cuomo addressed his behavior including some of his past interactions with people in the office. Cuomo says he had often "teased" and bantered "being playful." Cuomo said, "I now understand that my interactions may have been insensitive or too personal and that some of my comments, given my position, made others feel in ways I never intended."
