Two members of the Ontario County Sheriff's Office have been suspended as part of a corruption investigation. The investigation began earlier this year. The allegations date back to Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero's tenure. The DA's office said the allegations do not involve the use of excessive force. Ontario County Sheriff Kevin Henderson said Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley was appointed as the special prosecutor to investigate allegations of criminal and/or public corruption at the Ontario County Jail at the request of New York State Supreme Court Judge Craig Doran, administrative judge for New York's Seventh Judicial District.
