CNY Wrestler DQ'd For Biting Opponent, Says He Didn't Do it

Here's a bit of controversy in high school wrestling out near Syracuse.

Phoenix senior Ross McFarland was disqualified in the State Finals for the 182-pound Division but was disqualified by the ref after he said McFarland bit his opponent's hand.

The video in question is below and shows the opponent (in black) jerking his hand away from McFarland's face after a few moments.

McFarland says that he didn't bite his opponents hand, but rather his opponent put his fingers in his mouth. More on that is explained here at Syracuse.com.

McFarland won the 170-pound state title last year, and had won 40 straight matches before an injury forced him out of the Sectional Championships in early February, but earned at-large bid to the state championships.
