Former Shortsville Fire Co Treasurer Pleads Guilty To Stealing Over $24,000

The former treasurer of the Citizens Hose Fire Company in Shortsville apparently pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony grand larceny charges.

54-year-old Wendy Wharton was arrested last April after police say she stole over $24,000 which she has now been ordered to repay.

She could spend up to three years in prison if she does not repay the money on a court ordered schedule.

Wendy allegedly used the funds to gamble at casinos in the Finger Lakes, CNY and Las Vegas.

Kimberly would like to point out that it's pretty apparent that she didn't spend any of the money on hair and makeup.
